Our IV Infusion Process

Our nurses will guide you through each step of your appointment, ensuring you feel safe and well-informed about the vitamins and fluids being administered. The initial appointment typically lasts about an hour from start to finish. For repeat or regular clients, the process may be completed more quickly

Important Steps to Take After Booking Your Appointment:

After booking your appointment online or via text, you will receive a confirmation message followed by a series of forms sent through MangoMint. Most clients will receive two to three forms, which generally include an intake form and consent forms. These forms must be completed in full before every appointment. Paperwork is required at each visit to ensure your information is current and to support safe and appropriate care.

It is crucial that all forms are completed as soon as they are received. Our nurses cannot proceed with an appointment unless all required paperwork has been submitted, reviewed, and signed in advance. If you do not see these emails right away, please check your spam or junk folder.

For first time appointments or if there has been a change in your medical history, a brief Good Faith Exam will be required via telehealth. This exam is typically completed during your IV infusion appointment unless arranged in advance under special circumstances. The Good Faith Exam is mandatory at the initial visit, after any significant medical updates, and annually thereafter. It is conducted by a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, is quick and straightforward, and carries a fee of $27.99. This fee applies even if you are not cleared for IV therapy.

New clients are encouraged to review our IV Therapy FAQs. If you have any questions about this process, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Day of Your Appointment:

For mobile appointments: Shortly before your scheduled time, you will receive a text notification with an estimated time of arrival (ETA). If there are any unexpected delays, you will be promptly informed.

When your nurse arrives, they will introduce themselves and take a moment to review your selected package and answer any questions you may have. They will then confirm the information from your intake form to ensure there are no contraindications before obtaining your vitals.

To help create a calm and safe environment, please ensure that pets and small children are kept out of the area where your IV will be administered. This allows your nurse to focus fully on your care and helps maintain a clean, distraction-free space for your appointment.

The process is very similar for in-office visits at our San Marcos location, where the same level of professionalism, comfort, and personalized care can be expected.

IV Infusion Process:

The IV infusion is carefully prepared, and IV access is established by your nurse. Any nutrients or medications that can be administered directly are given first, followed by the main infusion, which begins at a slow rate. Once all direct pushes are completed, the flow rate is increased to ensure a comfortable and efficient delivery. Most infusions take approximately 20 to 30 minutes, though the process may take longer if a smaller needle is required or if a specialty IV is being administered.

Your nurse will remain with you throughout the entire infusion to monitor your comfort and safety. Once complete, the IV is gently removed, and the site is wrapped appropriately. Aftercare instructions will be provided to help you feel your best following your infusion. Payment is then processed before departure.

Our trained nurses provide professional rejuvenating IV services.
